The Brief
Ten apprentices. The House of Commons. One incredible day.
Every year during National Apprenticeship Week, the Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase takes place at the House of Commons. It is a prestigious event that brings together apprentices from across the hospitality sector to celebrate their achievements, hear from industry experts and members of Parliament, and experience one of the most iconic buildings in the country.
Mitchells & Butlers take ten of their apprentices to the event each year, and for the last three years, Yoorcast has been hired to capture the entire day. Starting at Waterloo, the group walks across Westminster Bridge with Big Ben as the backdrop before entering the House of Commons for a day of recognition, networking, and inspiration.
The brief covers two core deliverables. First, candid and posed photography so that every individual who attends has images of themselves on the day to download and keep as mementos. Second, video content captured throughout the day, including interviews, testimonials, and candid footage, delivered as social-media-ready films that Mitchells & Butlers can share across their platforms.

The content captured at the House of Commons serves two purposes. It gives every attendee personal images from an unforgettable day, and it gives Mitchells & Butlers a bank of assets to use across talent campaigns, social media, and internal communications.
Personal Mementos
Over 200 photos captured across the day, including posed and candid shots of every individual. These are made available for attendees to download and keep as a lasting reminder of their recognition at the House of Commons.
Social Media Films
Three social-media-suitable videos delivered for different purposes, capturing certificate presentations, interactions, testimonials, and the overall atmosphere. These communicate the importance of the event and why Mitchells & Butlers believe in being part of the bigger conversation.
Talent & Internal Comms
The photos and videos are used across Mitchells & Butlers' social media as part of talent campaigns, highlighting opportunities and celebrating achievements. They also feature on internal channels as an aspirational piece to share with other employees across the business.
