The Brief

A cause close to home.

McDonald's and Lifetime Training organised a fundraising sports day in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, bringing together teams from across the business for a day of competitive fun, fancy dress, and fundraising.

This was a project Yoorcast founder Dan Sullivan offered on a complimentary basis. Ronald McDonald House Charities holds a deeply personal significance. When Dan's son William was born with a life-threatening condition called OA/TOF, the charity accommodated Dan and his wife for three weeks, just steps from the hospital where William underwent two major surgeries. Being self-employed, the ability to continue working while staying close to William was an absolute lifesaver.

With longstanding relationships with both Lifetime Training and McDonald's from previous roles, this was a chance to give something back to a cause that made a real difference at the most difficult time.

The Day

Fancy dress, competitive spirit, and a brilliant cause.

The sports day brought teams together in full fancy dress for a series of outdoor challenges, races, and team games. The energy was infectious. Yoorcast was on the ground all day capturing the action through photography, drone footage, and video content designed for social media.

Captured for sharing.

A short-form social reel was produced to capture the energy of the day, designed for sharing across internal channels and social media.

Some projects mean more.

Ronald McDonald House Charities keeps families together when it matters most. For the Sullivan family, that meant three weeks of accommodation just steps from the hospital during the most difficult period of their lives. William is now thriving, and the gratitude is permanent.

This project was a small way of giving back. No invoice. No brief document. Just a camera, a drone, and a genuine desire to help tell the story of the people raising money for a charity that changes lives.
